A sport-utility vehicle or SUV fell off the ditch at the Metro Rail Transit (MRT-7) Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City on Monday, February, 12.
The vehicle which was traversing from Fairview suddenly went out of track when it tried to evade another vehicle.
The SUV driver turned to the left, hit a concrete barrier then fell into the 2-meter deep canal, according to a security guard who witnessed the accident.
Aside from the damaged property, nobody was hurt in the incident including the driver himself, Julius Farnag.
Farnag, who introduced himself as a policeman and the only passenger of the vehicle did not give any remarks, regarding the incident.
According to a witness, the driver smelled of liquor. Unang Balita reported that the accident happened at around 1 a.m. at Barangay Manggahan.
The identified driver now faces charges for reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property.
