BAGUIO CITY — Authorities have a******d a woman caught selling pornographic digital video disks (DVD), Thursday, in an entrapment operation conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG); according to an ABS-CBN News story.
CIDG’s SP03 Veronica Villareal said they received a tip from a concerned citizen about a seller of x-rated DVDs; after which they conducted surveillance in the area to confirm the report.
After having a test-buy from the suspect, they a******d her.
Twenty-eight disks containing obscene contents which she sells for Php35 each were recovered from the suspect.
The suspect, in defense, said somebody forced her to buy the DVDs.
She will either face a penalty of prison mayor, a fine ranging from Php6,000 to Php12,000, or both imprisonment and fine; as per Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines that prohibits immoral doctrines, obscene publications and exhibitions, and indecent shows.
