- 395 cops in Cagayan Valley (Region 2) got promoted
- The 395 were composed of 341 non-commissioned officers and 54 commissioned officers
After going through rigorous selection and screening by the Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2), 395 police personnel in Cagayan Valley region were promoted.
PRO 2 Deputy Regional Director for administration Senior Supt. Petronelli Baldebrin said the promoted personnel were composed of 54 commissioned officers and 341 non-commissioned officers assigned to different provincial and city police offices and the PRO 2 headquarters.
Of the 341 non-commissioned officers, 37 got promoted to Senior Police Officers (SPO) 3; five became SPO2; 9 became SPO 1; 115 became PO3 and 92 became PO2.
Out of the 54 commissioned officers, 2 got promoted to Superintendent, 2 became Chief Inspector, 4 became Senior Inspector and 46 became Inspector.
Police Regional Director Jose Mario Espino presided at the donning of ranks and oath-taking of the promoted police officers held at the PRO 2 Grandstand on March 12.
Espino congratulated the newly-promoted cops for their well-deserved promotion and also reminded them that “additional shape and lines that they have received connote more responsibilities and accountability.”
