Actress Drew Barrymore admitted that she is overwhelmed by the warm welcome shown by Filipinos during her visit in Manila.
The Hollywood actress said that she will treasure the visit because it was “surreal and beautiful.” Drew was quoted by Pep telling the crowd at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall Atrium, “There are no words in a moment like this…It’s surreal and beautiful and overwhelming. A moment like this will stay with me forever because it is like a dream.”
The ’50 First Dates’ star added, “Thank you for supporting Santa Clarita Diet, which is such a fun show! It has heart…sometimes we eat hearts. We were so proud to come to Manila and bring this second season to you.“
“We are honored to be here. Truly, I will never forget this moment for the rest of my life,” Drew said.
Drew was with her co-star Timothy Olyphant for the premier of the second season of their Netflix show Santa Clarita Diet.
Timothy, who revealed that he lived in Davao City when he was a baby while his father worked for Del Monte, coached Drew on a few Tagalog words.
Drew said, “We’ve been practicing how to say I love you…Mahal…” Timothy rescued her and said, “Mahal ko kayo!”
