- A man is now recovering from the slashes of katana he received from his jealous girlfriend
- His girlfriend said to the police that she bought the katana from a mall and attacked her boyfriend while he was sleeping
- Although the victim admitted that he does play video games for 12 to 13 hours, he denied cheating on his girlfriend
A man named Alex Lovell is recovering from multiple injuries in different parts of his body because of the slashes of katana done by his girlfriend on March 4.
In an interview with police, Lovell said that his girlfriend Emily Javier was accusing him of having an affair when she saw his phone having a Tinder dating app.
His girlfriend also justified that his addiction to a particular video game, “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds,” also triggered her to commit the act.
His girlfriend told the police that Lovell was cheating on her and has no time for her and so she bought a katana from a mall and slashed Lovell as he was sleeping.
His way of defense was, as per reports, to hug her. He said, “I told her I loved her, and she was killing me. She needed to call police, or I was going to die.”
The Police received a call from a woman and they believe that it was Javier. Lovell was rushed to the hospital, and is now recovering and will wait for possibly six months to completely recover.
Lovell, on the other hand, admitted that he still plays the video game for 12 to 13 hours. But regarding the dating app, he said that he deleted it: “I barely had time to hang out with my girlfriend, let alone another girl.”
He also denied his girlfriend’s allegations and said that Javier was delusional.
