KZ Tandingan, again, wowed the audience of Singer 2018 on its movies night on episode 8 with her own rendition of “Real Gone” by Sheryl Crow from the movie “Cars”.
She added a tagalog rap to her performance, which amazed most the people. The crowd enjoyed KZ’s performance as she invited them to stand on their feet and dance to the rhythm of the song. But with her amazing performance, who could tell that KZ had only limited time to study the rock song, which, she admitted she has never heard of before.
KZ Tandingan shared during an interview with ABS-CBN that she was only given 3 days to learn Sheryl Crow’s “Real Gone”.
“Naging challenge iyon sa akin kasi hindi ko talaga alam iyong kanta,” KZ said. [It was a challenge for me since I really didn’t know the song.]
But the pressure was not just that. To add more spice, she also was asked to perform with an electric guitar, which, she has never done before, until this week’s episode of Singer 2018.
Known for creating twists and surprises of her own renditions of the songs she performs, KZ did a great job on stage, but apparently, she did not make it to the top 4 and only landed at the 5th spot of this week’s ranking.
Meanwhile, British pop singer, Jessie J was supposed to sing “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion from the movie “Titanic” but did not get the chance to perform because she was ill and had to go back to London.
