A pastor died on the spot after the tricycle he rode in was rammed by a car at Barangay Raniag, Ramon town, Isabela on Tuesday, March 20.
Police Chief Inspector Lord Wilson Adorio, chief of Ramon Police Station, said in an interview with 92.9 Brigada News FM Cauayan that the victim was identified as Daniel Dalgo, a resident of Penarrubia, Abra who temporarily resided in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.
The driver of the Toyota Corola was identified as Junival Agonoy, 25, with passenger Jerold Mejia, 27, who are both from Cabatuan, Isabela.
Based on the police’s initial investigation, both vehicles were traversing towards the same direction when the car suddenly hit the tricycle in front of it
Due to the strong impact, the tricycle’s sidecar got separated from the motorcycle and fell into a canal in the area.
Dalgo suffered a critical wound in his body that caused his death.
Chief Inspector Adorio is investigating if the car driver and his passenger were under the influence of alcohol during the incident.
The car driver is now under the custody of the police.
