Police officer, retired cop, civilian, arrested for selling illegal drugs

A police officer and two others were arrested after selling sachets of shabu to undercover operatives in Cubao, Quezon City on Sunday night.

The arrested policeman is ranked police officer 2 (PO2) and assigned at the Holding and Accounting Unit in Camp Crame.

Also apprehended together with him was a retired cop and a civilian.

The suspects were on the watch list for allegedly selling illegal drugs, usually to call center agents, according to Supt. Luis Benjie Tremor, commander of Quezon City police station 7.

“Masakit man sa atin, kabaro natin ‘yan, pero sila yung sumisira ng imahe ng PNP. Ito’yung mga anay ng PNP,” said Tremor.

A total of 19 sachets of shabu were seized from the suspects with an estimated worth of Php20,000.
