A pregnant lady accused four cops of raping her in Meycauayan, Bulacan.
The supposed victim claimed the crime happened while she was near the area where an anti-drugs operation by the cops was taking place.
According to an article by GMA News on Wednesday, 29-year-old “Dolores,” not her real name, said that the four cops took turns in raping her in front of her two-year-old daughter.
Dolores said that she was just collecting pautang (debtors’ payments) together with her child on March 6 in Barangay Bangkal, Meycauayan and it just so happened that the police were conducting a buy-bust operation in the area.
She was reportedly inside a house and that was where the cops became interested in her, she claims.
The four cops then took turns in raping her, the victim said.
Dolores said that she sacrificed herself so the cops won’t do something bad to her daughter.
“Sinabihan po nila ako na ‘Kung ayaw mo, gusto mo ‘yung anak mo na lang?’ Hanggang sa ‘yung anak ko nakatayo lang sa upuan, tinanggal po nila ‘yung panty, itinaas nila ‘yung dress ng anak ko tapos tinanggal nila ‘yung diaper,” Dolores said.
[They told me, if you’ll refuse, would you rather we get on with your child? My daughter was there, standing on a chair, they removed her underwear, pulled up her dress and removed her diaper.]
Dolores claimed she was seven weeks pregnant when the supposed crime happened, but when she had herself checked by a doctor on Saturday, there were no longer signs of life inside her womb.
At the Police Provincial Director’s office of Bulacan, Dolores positively pointed at three out of four cops presented to her:
- PO2 Jefferson Landrito
- PO1 Marlo Delos Santos
- PO1 Jeremy Aquino
For their defense, the cops said they saw “Dolores” during the buy-bust operation but they didn’t do anything to her because she was not a target of their mission.
The cops also said they have witnesses who could testify that they did not commit the abuse.
“Tatlo po ang anak ko, Sir, puro babae kaya malabo ko pong gawin ‘yun sir kasi malaki respeto ko sa babae, Sir,” Landrito said.
[I have three children, all girls, that’s why it’s impossible for me to commit such a crime becauseI have great respect for women.]
The three cops were disarmed and were prohibited from leaving the police camp while the investigation is on-going.
“I will not tolerate any wrongdoings of my men. They will be administratively relieved to prevent harassing itong complainant,” said Senior Superintendent Romeo Caramat Jr., Provincial Director, Bulacan Police.
