President Rodrigo Duterte recently promoted an Antipolo City judge to the *Sandiganbayan.
According to the appointment paper released by Malacañang on Monday, Antipolo City Regional Trial Court Judge Kevin Narce Vivero was appointed to the post vacated by Samuel Martires, who was elevated to the Supreme Court (SC.)
Martires was the President’s first appointee to the SC.
Apart from Vivero, the President also appointed 17 new judges to the Regional Trial Courts (RTC.)
15 of the 17 judges were appointed to posts in Metro Manila, 1 in Cagayan province and 1 in Negros Oriental.
*Sandiganbayan is the court that tries and resolves graft cases against public officials and employees.
