24-year-old police officer 1 (PO1) Madonna Gay C. Cajocon was crowned 2018 Ganda Pulis during the pageant’s coronation ceremony in Camp Crame on Monday night.
The policewoman assigned at the Regional Mobile Force Batallion (RMFB) of the Police Regional Office 9 (PRO 9) (Zamboanga Peninsula) is the Philippine National Police (PNP)’s new advocate of its campaign against illegal drugs, radicalization and women’s issues.
Cajocon bested 25 other beautiful ladies from the PNP’s provincial offices, units and districts.
Now on its second year, the beauty pageant was launched as part of PNP’s advocacy to bring the police force closer to the community.
Cajocon took over the crown from the Ganda Pulis 2017 winner from Leyte, P01 Arla Ray Paciencia of Police Regional Office 8.
“As a police woman I will take efforts to influence everybody towards peace building and counter-radicalitization against terrorism,” Cajocon said.
She was a former Sangguniang Kabataan chairman of Silucap, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.
Other titles won by other ladies in the pageant include Ms. Maka-Diyos, Ms. Makatao and Ms. Makakalikasan.
