The man is indeed a policeman doing his rounds at NAIA, specifically terminal 3. At present, he serves as a member of the Aviation Security group, where he applies his expertise in bomb disposal and aircraft anti-hijacking. Throughout his six years of service, he has been recognized with 13 medals for demonstrating exceptional skill in responding to disasters and civil disobedience.
Police Officer Mariano Flormata, Jr., known as PO2 Flormata, shared that his friends and colleagues often joke about him leaving the Philippine National Police (PNP) to pursue a career in show business. However, he always responds that being a cop is his true passion and first love.
Although being a policeman has always been his childhood dream, he confessed that he also has an interest in modeling. Thus, he yielded to the persuasion of his friends and participated in the Misters of the Philippines 2014 male pageant, competing under the name Neil Perez. Given his striking features and well-toned physique, it comes as no surprise that Neil has secured a spot as one of the top 20 finalists in the competition.
Neil expressed that this is his inaugural venture into a competition like Misters of the Philippines. As a police officer with a photogenic smile, he believes that the pageant will present him with opportunities that can improve his financial standing. Additionally, the competition offers him a chance to showcase his diverse skill set beyond law enforcement.

The leadership of the Philippine National Police (PNP) sees no issue with PO2 Flormata's participation in the male pageant. In fact, his superior, Chief Supt. Christopher Laxa, who heads the Aviation Security Group, encouraged and pledged his support to him.
