Zhu had enjoyed a good life for the previous ten years, working as a prosperous businessman in Shanghai. Yet, he abandoned his prosperous life after three months of careful planning; he sold all of his possessions and made the decision to travel for the following five years.
In August, the father-daughter team left Shenzhen province in southern China and began their journey. They traveled 9,000 kilometers before arriving in the Jilin Province of northeast China in late September. The first year of their travels will be in China, while the following four years will be spent seeing other nations.
"In the eyes of a child, having a father to accompany them through childhood is the most important thing,"he claimed.
