The controversial and much publicized Ritz Carlton condominium unit in Downtown Los Angeles of Jeane Napoles, daughter of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles, is up for sale. This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit with a floor area of 15-hundred square feet has a listing price of $1.475 Million.
As Balitang America’s Los Angeles Correspondent Steve Angeles reported, the listing was posted on several realty websites on September 23rd. According to public records, the unit was purchased under the name of Jeane C. Napoles in July, 2011 for $1.28 Million. She is set to profit about $200,000.
Sources from Ritz Carlton disclosed to Balitang America that a Napoles employee was seen moving bags of Jeane’s belongings days before the August 26 anti-pork barrel Million People March, when dozens of Filipino Americans protested outside of the Ritz Carlton condominium.
Angeles further reported on Balitang America that in early August, during an attempted visit to the Ritz condominium : “a conversation with a person in the unit through the front desk phone, claimed Jeane moved out several months prior,” despite public records indicating the unit was still under her name.
An online search of the three other Southern California properties also linked to Napoles include a family home in Irvine, a vacant building and lot and an Anaheim Hotel — show none of them are up for sale as of press time. Steve Angeles added that the hotel appeared to be open for business during his recent visit.
