[Updated] Dioscoro Flores, 39, a Filipino nurse in Chicago has been accused of sexually abusing a male 24-year old, paralyzed US soldier in the patient’s room at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.

The unnamed soldier then told his father that he wanted to press charges against the Filipino nurse.  His father reported the incident to the staff of the institute and alerted the police.

After investigation, Flores was a******d last week.  He is now facing a felony charge of aggravated criminal sexual a***e and is being held on a $50,000 bond.

The father of the soldier said that he was shocked at first and then became angry, when he understood what his son was trying to tell him.

You know … just kind of knowing that something like that could have happened,” he said.

The father also said that he is proud of his son for telling what had been done to him.

The son is still an active member of the military.  He was a sharpshooter who did a tour of duty in Afghanistan from June 2011 until August 2012. The soldier’s quadriplegia is from an injury in May, but the father declined to elaborate.
