The recently concluded 2013 Grammy Awards is not only a night of victory for talents who dominated the music scene but also for the Filipinos as well.
This developed after Filipino-American singing superstar Bruno Mars also won in the much-awaited musical event, which honors the most noteworthy achievers in the music industry every year.
Mars, whose real name is Peter Gene Hernandez, took home the trophy for Best Pop Vocal Album for his single “The Lazy Song.”
One of the prominent singers beaten by Mars in his award is Justin Timberlake, who still ended up with three awards in the event.
Mars dedicated his Grammy Awards to his departed Filipino mother.
The trophy is the second Grammy for Mars, who also won the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his “Just The Way You Are” in 2011. Mars
beat Michael Buble, John Mayer, and Adam Lambert to win the coveted award.
