MANILA, Philippines- Following reports of Nora Aunor owing Coco Martin money, the Superstar has finally confirmed an ongoing rift with her Padre de Familia co-star.
In her interview with TV 5’s “Showbiz Police”, the veteran actress said she has requested Martin to clarify her name on the issue through text messages. However, she is still waiting for the Teleserye Prince to speak about the matter.
“Ayoko na sanang sagutin yan kasi ayoko nang lumala ang isyu na yan. Pero totoo po yon na may nangyari na nag-text ako sa kanya dahil nga dun sa nabalitaan kong kesyo siya raw ang nagbabayad ng condo ko. Tapos naubos daw yung kanyang bank book dahil sa kahihingi ko ng pera sa kanya na siguro naman ay hindi totoo,”
(I don’t want to answer that because I didn’t want the issue to get bigger. But it is true, I sent him a text message informing him about rumors that I’m not paying the mortgage on my condominium. There were also reports that his bank account was depleted because I often asked him for money. I hope these rumors are not true. )
Although the award-winning actress stressed that she does not want to make a big deal of the rift, she wants to talk to Martin about the issue.
Nora Aunor Being Considered for National Artist for Film
In September last year, La Aunor was recommended by the The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) as National Artist for Film and Broadcast Media.
The 60-year old actress said she is thankful regardless of whether she gets the award or not.
Early this month, Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos honored Aunor with a life-sized, fiber glass statue of “Elsa”, a character she portrayed in the critically acclaimed “Himala”. The statue was unveiled at the sand dunes in Paoay, where “Himala” was shot.
