Embassy looking for kin of ill Pinoy in China

MANILA- The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)  is currently searching for the friends, relatives or whoever knows the 63 year-old Filipino traveller who is now confined  in a hospital in Beijing.

According to the embassy, Eddie Cabolosan Moralda, a Filipino businessman is currently being taken care at a hospital in Beijing after suffering from stroke last November 21, 2014.

The embassy added that Moralda still remains unconscious. Due to his condition, the complications have reached both his heart and lungs which may lead to his death if not addressed properly.

It came to their attention that Moralda came to Beijing last November 12, 2014 together with his business partner, a certain Rowena Villareal. They were supposed to meet with their Chinese friend to discuss about the business that they will put up in the Philippines.


His parents have been identified as Ricardo Moralda and Francisca Cabolosan. His last known address in the Philippines is Barangay (village) Halang, Calamba City, Laguna.

Moralda is being fed through tubes and doctors estimate it could take three months for him to recover.

The embassy further mentioned that the doctor who is in charge with Moralda mentioned that it may take three months before he can be discharged from the hospital.
