Does one need to possess superpowers in order to help people?
A mystery guy dressed in Spiderman outfit proved that an ordinary citizen can change the world just by doing good deeds. No spider webs involved!
The 20-year-old man, who previously worked with homeless people for three or four years, made the streets of Birmingham in the United Kingdom a much better place for those in need. Using his own money, he buys meals which he distributes to people without safe haven at night.
The British Spiderman explained to BBC the reason why he chooses to dress as a masked crusader while handing out food.
He said: “I’ve worked with homeless and vulnerable people for three or four years and love seeing the smiles on people’s faces. Then I thought ‘if they are happy now, imagine how much bigger the smile would be if it was Spider-Man giving out the food’.”
The good Samaritan does his good deeds once or two times a week between 9pm and 12 am. Meanwhile, he works as a bartender during daytime.
In his interview with Huffington Post, the masked crusader revealed that no one took notice of him when he distributed food in ordinary outfits.
“But when they see Spider-Man handing out the food they come over and ask what I’m doing and are really interested. Most importantly [they] become inspired to get involved themselves.”
Of course, going out as Peter Parker’s alter ego definitely caught the attention of members of the community. In fact, many of them were moved by what the British Spiderman does.
British Spiderman’s video feeding homeless people has inspired more and more people who are willing to donate. However, the mystery guy refused to accept any of the donations since he wanted them to go out and personally help the needy.
