PNP lady officer is Miss Philippines-Earth candidate

Following the success of Police Officer 2 Mariano Flormata, Jr., more popularly known for his screen name Neil Perez, in the international beauty pageant scene, another member of the Philippine National Police (PNP), this time a lady officer, will try her luck in another beauty tilt.

Police Inspector Sofia Loren Deliu, currently assigned in Baguio City, is one of the candidates for 2015 Miss Philippines-Earth. She holds a degree in tourism management prior to becoming part of 2014 batch of graduates from the Philippine National Police Academy in Baguio City.

In an interview with “Aksyon TV,” the pretty police officer said her joining the beauty contest might create a big impact since she is the first lady cop to join a prestigious contest.

“I guess this will create a big impact, especially to the world of officership kasi ako po ‘yong first lady officer to join such prestigious pageant,” she told “Aksyon TV,” adding, “I think this will be a great opportunity for us to reach the people, na approachable ang mga pulis (that the police are approachable).”

Currently, the Miss Philippines-Earth crown is being held by Jamie Herrel of Cebu City. The Grand Coronation night would be on May 20, 2015 at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
