Twitter user dubbed as ‘Bagyo Queen’ goes viral for storm-related ‘hugot lines’

A Twitter user, who goes by the name Brandi Nicole and has the Twitter handle @Ohohnikk, is the latest talk of the town for her non-stop posts that relate the stormy weather with matters of the heart.

Even tagging the Twitter accounts of the Department of Education, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, and Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, the outspoken adolescent shares her frustration about late announcements for class suspension by the authorities and connects this scenario to a heartbreak.

One of the her tweets, which has now been liked more than 200 times, states, “KUNG ISUSUSPEND NYO NA SABIHIN NYO AGAD!! HINDI YUNG NAGHIHINTAY KAMI SA WALA!! NAKAKAPAGOD NG UMASA AT MAGHINTAY SA WALA!!!” (“IF YOU’RE GOING TO DECLARE SUSPENSION, TELL IT NOW!! SO WE DON;T HAVE TO WAIT FOR NOTHING!! IT’S TIRING TO EXPECT AND WAIT FOR NOTHING!!!”)

In another tweet that is just as emotionally charged, she says that she hopes that classes get cancelled before the sun rises because she tends to forget her umbrella. She ends the post by saying that even an umbrella leaves her at the time of need. In another post about umbrellas, she says that getting wet even if you have an umbrella is like loving and still being left behind by the person you love.

After a series of tweets tagging the authorities, she asks the online community to stop calling her the “Bagyo/Hugot Queen” because she might actually be reached by government officials. However, even if she pleaded that she doesn’t want to be branded as such, it still did not stop her from posting more tweets that connects the inclement weather to love issues.

One of her more recent posts says that the storm is actually better than a person who chooses to end a relationship. When a storm leaves, it surely comes back after a certain period of time. But, according to her, once a lover leaves, that person will never come back.
