- A man and woman were found dead inside an SUV in a mall parking lot
- The vehicle was parked overnight and the deaths were discovered the morning after
- The police are yet to identify the victims
The bodies of a man and a woman were found inside a sports utility vehicle (SUV) left at a parking lot in a shopping mall complex in the town of Mexico in Pampanga.
Mall security personnel discovered the lifeless bodies of the victims on the two front seats of the black Hyundai Tuscon with plate number MOB 19 which was parked on the northeastern section of the mall.
Mall security records showed that a parking ticket was issued indicating that the vehicle entered the parking lot the previous night.
It was only the following day at around 7 in the morning when a roving guard discovered the lifeless bodies.
“Security personnel became suspicious after its occupants failed to show up the following day,” Mexico town police chief Supt. Wilson Alicuman told Interaksyon.
Authorities are yet to find out the names of the victims as apparently no identification has been found on the bodies or in the vehicle itself.
Currently, police do not have any lead as well as to the cause of death or if foul play was involved in the death of the man and woman.
Meanwhile, the shopping mall complex management has pledged to cooperate with the police in its investigation.
Mall policy currently allows for patrons to park their vehicles within the premises overnight but with the incident, it may have to review this policy and to suspend this privilege pending the results of the investigation.
