- Emotional reunion for Yap and former best friend Karen on “It’s Showtime”
- Friendship earlier broken after Yap’s BF fell in love with Karen
- Fans support reconciliation
MANILA, Philippines – All’s well that ends well in their game of love.
In an unexpected turn of events, ‘Pastillas Girl’ aka Angelica Jane Yap found herself face-to-face with her former best friend Karen on Friday’s episode of “It’s Showtime.”
Unbeknownst Yap, host Vice Ganda had invited Karen to attend the program to make amends with what she did.
“I want us to be on good terms,” she told Yap. “We both know that we would always be friends the first time we met each other.”
She also apologized for taking Enzo —Yap’s ex-boyfriend— away from her, saying they both never meant to fall in love with each other.
“We did not intend to fall for each other, and we did not mean to hurt,” she said. “Sorry, I just fell in love.”
Touched by her friend’s contrite apology, a tearful Yap wordlessly hugged her to the joy of the audience. They were then joined by Enzo who went up and also apologized to Yap while holding her hand.
“I’m sorry, thank you so much,” he said.
In response, Yap said she is happy with their relationship and wished them all the best.
“I’m happy for the both of you, may your relationship last,” she told them.
As expected, fans of ‘Pastillas Girl’ were understandably happy at the encounter between the two best friends.
Many approved and said their meeting would hopefully provide closure and allow them to move on with their lives while still being in good terms.
In an earlier episode, a contrite Enzo also begged Yap for forgiveness; saying he did not intend to fall in love with Karen.
