MANILA, Philippines – As it appears, KathNiel is officially behind Liberal Party (LP) standard bearer Mar Roxas.

On her Instagram account, Roxas’ spouse Korina Sanchez posted a picture of herself and her husband posing together with Daniel Padilla and his love team partner, Kathryn Bernardo.

The four wore yellow outfits and flashed the ‘Laban’ sign in the picture which bore the caption “#KathNiel is for Mar! Teen King and Queen Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo go for Mar Roxas for President in 2016!”

Another picture uploaded on IG by a certain “deleon_nina” shows Bernardo and Padilla posing for a picture with vice presidential candidate Camarines Sur Leni Robredo’s three daughters Tricia, Jill and Aika separately.

Padilla has appeared in two videos with Roxas. In the first, the pair can be seen discussing the administration’s solution to Metro Manila’s worsening traffic.  In the second, Roxas is shown answering various questions regarding the actions taken during and after the arrival of Typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban City.

According to Liberal Party spokesman Barry Gutierrez, Roxas is engaging the services of Padilla to be able to spread his message to the masses.

“We want him as a matinee idol, to draw people and engage them in a discussion of the important issues,” he said. “Initially, we want to attract his fans to our message.”

Mixed Reactions

As can be seen on the various comments on Sanchez’s photo, reactions ranged from the supportive to the acerbic.

While some of the commenters expressed support for KathNiel’s decision to endorse Roxas, others questioned their choice of candidates—with a few even asking how much were they paid to endorse him.
