MANILA, Philippines – For showing Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach love after she was rightfully awarded the crown, Miss Malaysia Vanessa Tevi is getting a whole of it too from Wurtzbach’s compatriots.

On her Instagram, Tevi said she was overwhelmed by the praises she’s been receiving from Filipinos after she was pictured affectionately kissing and hugging Wurtzbach right after she received her sash and crown.

“I must say jeeeez guys, I’m overwhelmed with the love from all you Philippinas (sic),” she wrote.

Tevi then explained she did those things because she regarded Wurtzbach as her ‘sister.’

“I honestly didn’t think that a simple hug and kiss would earn me this much love. Because to me, it was only natural for me to be happy for the new Miss Universe who so happens to be my Miss Universe sister,” she said.

Congratulating Wurtzbach and saying she will be the ‘best reigning Miss Universe yet,’ Tevi admitted she will miss her moments together with her and the rest of their clique which includes Miss Myanmar May Barani Thaw and Miss China Jessica Xue.

On the brighter side, Tevi invited Wurtzbach to her native Malaysia and added she, Thaw and Xue are looking forward to visiting her in the Philippines.

“Come to Malaysia soon, and don’t forget our VIP treatment you promised us sisters when we drop by the Philippines,” she wrote. “Mabuhay! Until then, enjoy Christmas and take care. We love you!”
