  • They expressed hopes that the delay won’t happen on the final night of the Queen of Pop’s concert

Madonna’s Rebel Heart World Tour concert in the Philippines was delayed for hours on Wednesday evening, February 24.

In an article written by FRJ of GMA, it was disclosed that fans waited for two to three hours before the event finally started at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The fans, despite waiting for their idol for hours, still had enough energy when the Queen of Pop finally appeared on stage. To note, the Rebel Heart concert is one which Filipino fans have long awaited for; ever since she scored a string of dance hits in the 1980s. Apparently, the most expensive ticket for the contest is worth more than P57,000.

Fans expressed hope the delay won’t happen on the last and final night of the concert.

Madonna is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman who achieved popularity by pushing the boundaries of lyrical content in mainstream popular music and imagery in her music videos, which became a fixture on MTV, according to Wikipedia. She popularized the songs Like a Virgin, Into the Groove, Papa Don’t Preach, Like a Prayer, Vogue, Frozen, Music, Hung Up, and 4 Minutes.

Also, the pop singer sold more than 300 million records around the world, and was named by the Guinness World Record as the best-selling female recording artist of all-time. In addition, she was ranked at number two — behind The Beatles — on the Billboard Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists, which made her the most successful solo artist in the history of American singles chart.
