MANILA, Philippines – Continuing his tirade against Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Vice President Jejomar Binay urged his supporters to pray for the former’s followers that they may be enlightened not to vote for him in the upcoming elections.
[He should not be president. Let us pray harder so that our countrymen’s minds will be cleared and freed from the gimmicks of Duterte.]
Saying there is something wrong with today’s morality if people openly adore Duterte’s iron-fisted policy against criminals, Binay wondered how would the mayor’s supporters react if one of their own family members happen to die because of the latter’s willingness to kill criminals.
[They are happy when people are killed, it seems there is something wrong with the morality of our time. To those who will vote for Duterte, would they want to go through and feel what’it’s like to have their loved ones, children, and siblings killed based on his mere suspicion that they broke the law?]
