Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, founding leader and Executive Pastor of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name above Every Name congregation, has offered presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte free and unlimited use of his private jet and helicopter.
During the campaign season, Duterte extensively used Pastor Quiboloy’s 12-seater 2015 Cessna Citation Sovereign Plus and Bell 429 helicopter.
Quibloy said Duterte could continue using his aircraft for the next six years at no extra cost to the government.
The pastor, a long-time friend of Duterte, even offered to shoulder the fuel cost so the public would not complain that the presumptive president is using public funds for his personal travels.
“I would be glad, very very glad to lend my plane para makauwi siya sa [so he can go home to] Davao anytime he wants,” the so-called “Appointed Son of God” told CNN Philippines’ Ina Andolong in an interview.
“Kung magrereklamo ang taumbayan [if the public would complain] about the fuel which the President really needs, I would even be glad to donate the fuel. For six years, yes,” he said.
Andolong said Quiboloy’s 2015 Cessna Citation Sovereign Plus, according to AircraftCompare.com, costs roughly $17.1 million.
When asked why he is so generous to Duterte, Pastor Quiboloy said it’s all about friendship and trust in the presumptive president’s leadership. He stressed that he asked nothing in return.
“When I help him with everything, I’m just like helping the whole Philippines… through him,” Quiboloy said.
