- Actress Kris Aquino had a heart-to-heart talk with her son Bimby over his new sibling
- She said Bimby found out on Facebook that he already has a new sibling
- Aquino talked for the first time about what she felt when she found out that her ex-husband James Yap and his girlfriend already have a child
Actress-host Kris Aquino and her son Bimby Yap had a heart-to-heart talk about his new sibling; the daughter of his father James Yap and his Italian girlfriend Michela Cazzola.
In an article wrtitten by Rachelle Siazon of PEP, it was disclosed that Aquino said she had explained to Bimby that he now has a sibling from a different mother; and she is thankful on the “level of maturity” that he has.
Aquino shared that when she told Bimby about her new brother, he just asked her: “Are they married?”
“I said, ‘As far as I know they are not yet married.’ Sabi niya [He asked], ‘Should they be married?’ And I said, ‘Bimb, I was not married when I had Kuya [Josh] so let’s not judge,” she told his son.
Meanwhile, Aquino said she has been asking her child to tell her when he is ready to see his younger sibling.
“I’ve been discussing it with him and I’ve been saying, ‘Please tell me when you’re ready. Let’s make a call. Let’s be the ones to call them and say, ‘Hey, I’d like to meet my brother.’ And then, Bimb said, ‘Okay, Mama, I’ll tell you when,'” she shared.
Aquino, in the same interview, has also voiced out, for the first time, what she felt when she found out that James and Cazzola already have a child; saying she was dismayed that James did not even bother to tell their son about the matter.
“I’ll be honest again, I was afraid of how Bimb would react about his new sibling…. I’ll bring it out in the open. My child found out about it on Facebook. It was not known to him,” she said.
“I’m not disparaging them because that was their choice. I want them also to be happy and peaceful, because when there’s peace and happiness in the other side, there’s peace and happiness in your home. Pero, yun lang, nasaktan ako kasi my son deserved to find out [But, I was hurt because my son deserved to find out],” she added.
