Actress-host Kris Aquino, the sister of former president Benigno Aquino III, said President Rodrigo Duterte’s failure to appear for an interview with her is an “epic snub.”
“Humble and realistic enough to admit it was an epic snub,” the actress captioned the photo which she posted on Instagram.
The post also include screenshots of an article about the people who praised Aquino online for pushing through with the hosting of the National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Summit organized by GoNegosyo in Davao City even without Duterte.
In her post, the actress-host thanked her family, friends, and social media users for expressing love and appreciation.
“P.S. To all of you: my family, friends, and compassionate netizens – group hug tayo [can we have a group hug]? Thank you for showing me love and appreciation,” she wrote.
Duterte cancelled his appearance on Friday, November 11, at the town hall interview with Aquino.
Trade and industry Secretary Ramon Lopez, who made the announcement, said Duterte was not feeling well after arriving from his state visits in Thailand and Malaysia.
Later, after the announcement, presidential adviser on entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion, founder of Go Negosyo, announced that the president suffered from severe migraine.
