Behind all the beauty and glamor of the beauty queens from the recently concluded Miss Universe pageant held in the Philippines, are stories of inspiring journeys.

One such story is that of Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane — who didn’t win the crown — but she won the heart of millions with her inspiring story.

The Thai beauty queen had posted a photo on her Facebook page showing two pictures of her side-by-side.

One picture showed the younger version of herself when she was happily selling food in the streets, while the other picture showed Miss Thailand in a beautiful, long gown.

The Thai beauty queen shared that she used to sell different items on the streets since she was 4 years old in order to help her mother earn money.  At a very young age, she was taught to be responsible; a trait she carries until adulthood.

Suanse is a Thai model and beauty pageant titleholder from Samut Prakan. On 23 July 2016, she won Miss Universe Thailand 2016 and represented Thailand at the 2016 pageant. She may not have brought home the crown, but she won the fan vote and placed in the Top 6 of the prestigious pageant.

To date, her post continues to draw likes and comments, as well as admiration for her humble beginnings.
