In celebration of Mother’s day, we give tribute to our mothers for their unconditional love, support, and sacrifices. However, in a story shared on Facebook by a netizen named Ray Tejada through a video, an equally undivided love as that of mothers was evident when a father was seen crying in the video comforting his child who was also crying in pain.
“Huwag ka nang umiyak kasi nahirapan din ako,” the father said while giving a calming continuous rub on the girl’s head.
Tejada was riding a jeepney originating from Novaliches Bayan bound to Blumentritt, when he saw the father and child. As per the man, his daughter had eaten a candy that created an unendurable toothache.
Tejada revealed that he was a bit in doubt at first and thought the little girl was kidnapped when she was crying perpetually, until the man disclosed to him their story.
According to the father as cited in his post, the two needed to go to Manila for the girl’s check-up in East Ave. They were from Bulacan, and have been asking for water and some monetary since morning. The man then opened up to Tejada; saying his wife had left them in the wake of discovering that he was diabetic.

Tejada was only able to give them a small amount of money; however the father was unimaginably appreciative. A couple of minutes later, the father requested the driver to drop them off at the closest Mercury Drug store.
The netizen, with the hopes of them getting financial assistance from other great Samaritans decided to share their story on Facebook which has already gained support and sympathy towards the troubled father and daughter.
A commenter, Ronald, said the father is named george and used to be their neighbor.
“Kawawa naman si kuya george 🙁 Kapit bahay namin yan dati. George pangalan nya 🙁 pumupunta parin yan samin minsan . basta sobrang nakaka awa yung story nya 🙁 sana matulungan sya”
