New York  –  Fate has led this Syracuse couple to lose the fats and find each other.

After having lost a combined 578 pounds between them, Ronnie Brower and Andrea Masella are set to cap their amazing story with a fairytale ending by getting married on Saturday.

Prior to climbing the summit, Brower weighed in at around 675 pounds at his heaviest back in 2013. Now he weighs a svelte 217 pounds.

Masella, on the other hand, now weighs at 130 pounds after shedding off 120.

“This is a story you could make a movie about,” Brower’s personal trainer and best man Nick Murphy told Syracuse. “It’s a match made in heaven”.

Murphy, who helped Brower work out at Mission Fitness after the latter was told he would die if he did not lose weight, said he was impressed by the latter’s determination to give up his old lifestyle which consisted of overeating, bingeing on booze, and taking drugs.

“He never complained,” he said. “He just asked,’ What do I have to do?’ He did it with a smile on his face. He never let on how hard it is.”

Sure enough, Brower’s perseverance also caught the eye of Masella who had also been working out at the same gym. During their first date, the couple played ping pong and basketball.

“I didn’t believe it at first, then I started praying for it,” Brower said, after Murphy and his wife Jill told him he would eventually meet a health-oriented woman like Masella.

Since shedding off the extra pounds, Brower — who now works as a bus driver and trucking company dock worker — said he feels liberated.

“I feel now like I can do anything if I put my mind to it,” he said.
