Sydney, Australia –  Sydney-based oncologists have developed an application that can help cancer patients reduce the emotional burden of the disease.

Dr. Raghav Murali-Ganesh and Dr. Nikhil Pooviah created CancerAid, an application which gives patients and caregivers greater structure in their lives by providing them with an easy to use organizational platform and a medically reliable source of cancer information.

Speaking with Sky News,  Dr Nikhil Pooviah said the one-of-a-kind app provides digital solutions to the types of problems doctors see daily.

‘For cancer patients who feel anxious and confused, we provide personalized cancer information,’ he said.

‘We also provide a journey organizer, for those patients managing medications.’

CancerAid also allows user to connect with others going through a similar experience.

CancerAid has been endorsed by hospitals, doctors, peak bodies, and works in partnership with leading Australian charities, including Cure Cancer Australia and PanCare Foundation.
