Beer drinkers, beware!
You may have just sipped a bottle or two of that popular American beer Budweiser and wondered why it taste differently, if not bad at all.
Just recently, a video had been circulating on Chinese social media supposedly taken inside an underground factory producing fake Budweiser in the southern province of Dongguan, China.
It showed workers filling cans of beers, obviously recycled ones, from a filthy container using their bare hands – yes, bare hands.
According to Shanghaiist, local authorities raided the factory last May 5, but not after thousands and thousands of beer have been sold and distributed in the market.
The local authorities also said the factory is capable of producing 600,000 crates of fake Budweiser a month which were then shipped to clubs and bars in God-knows-where.
The video is believed to have been uploaded on Taiwanese social media before spreading into the mainland; sparking outrage among netizens.
Meanwhile, Budweiser Taiwan vowed to look into the incident and pursue legal action against the owners of the factory.
