‘Nestor Demonyo’ –  the moniker earned in his community by an alleged drug pusher. In a buy-bust operation in Muntinlupa City early Saturday morning, Ernesto Buenaventura a.k.a ‘Nestor Demonyo’ was killed by the police.

The police states that Ernesto Buenaventura fired at the officers who tried to corner him after he sold a sachet of methamphetamine or “shabu” to an ‘undercover’ buyer.

The incident happened outside Buenaventura’s house on Creekside, Purok 2, Barangay Bayanan, around 2 a.m.

The head of the Muntinlupa police station drug enforcement unit, Senior Insp. Elvin John Pio, said Buenaventura had just handed over the drug worth P200 to their undercover agent when one of the suspect’s sons shouted “kalaban ’yan! [That’s an enemy]”

The 50-year-old suspect reportedly drew a .45-caliber handgun but missed when he fired; prompting a retaliation.

Buenaventura was killed with gunshot wounds to the body.

Senior Inspector Pio said Buenaventura had been called ‘Nestor Demonyo’ in their community for being a bully and that his sons had also helped him sell drugs.

Reports say that one of his sons, identified as Bimbo, managed to escape.
