Ginebra bounce back with a roar, crushed TNT in Game 3 to stay alive in PBA Playoffs

Heading into Game 3 of the Semifinals matchup with TNT KaTropa, Ginebra is looking at a 0-2 deficit and TNT just need to win Game 3 to eliminate Ginebra in the PBA Playoffs.

Top seed Barangay Ginebra came out of the dug out like a team on a mission as they blow away TNT to a 125-101 victory to extend their playoffs contention in the PBA.

Gin Kings showed their extra effort on defense as they led by as much as 14 points, 61-47 after 24 minutes of action.

Justin Brownlee registered a game-high 31 points to go with 11 boards, while Scottie Thompson added 17 markers, 5 rebounds, and 4 dimes for Ginebra.

“There’s the burden of being the number one seed, the pressure to go along with the number one seed,” said Ginebra head coach Tim cone after his team’s huge win.”

“I think today we just kind of had an underdog mentality, and that helped us. Hopefully that will carry on [to Game 4].”

TNT missed the services of their import Joshua Smith who went out of the game halfway through the second quarter due to a hurting foot, ccording to assistant team manager Magnum Membrere.

RR Garcia led the Texters with 16 points in the first three quarters, while Mo Tautuaa stepped up in the absence of Smith and finished with 15 points and five boards in 25 minutes of action.

Game 4 of the Best-of-5 semis series between Ginebra and TNT is on Saturday, June 17 at the Cuneta Astrodome.
