Taipei for Filipinos is Meteor Garden; there’s no doubt to that.
Who would ever forget that one summer day in 2003 when the country was taken by storm as the story of Shan Cai, Dao Ming Si, Hua Ze Lei, Mei Zuo and Xi Men dominated Philippine television screens?
Before Korean dramas, Barbie Xu and the F4 gang has already left a mark in the hearts of Asian drama fans. And one fan actually went to Taiwan to relieve the memories of the hit series.
“Relieving our childhood feels! Before Kdrama, we fell in love first with F4 and San Chai. And for our case, we fell hard! Haha! Half of our Taiwan trip is dedicated to going to places where MG was shoot,” wrote Facebook user Suzanne Dolorito as she posted photos of her trip to Taiwan.
Suzanne and her friends went to the actual place where the series was shot – in National Chung Cheng University. Of course, it’s the fictional Ying De University for the fans.
Among the photos Suzanne took was the lockers where Shan Cai received the iconic F4 red card. She also caught a shot at the famous avenue where the opening scene of Meteor Garden took place.
Remember Shan Cai riding the motorbike and the F4 in the stylish convertible? Gives you the feels, right?
All these photos were taken with printed screenshots of Meteor Garden moments. Who wouldn’t be nostalgic with that? Enviable!
Suzanne somehow created a bridge to the past that we all can experience joy from!
