One of the two Maute bombers who were subjects of a June 9 Alert Memo from the Police Regional Office 10 Regional Intelligence Division was nabbed in Barangay Sta Cruz, Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City around 6:30 am on Thursday, June 15.
According to Rappler, Brigadier General Gilbert Gabay, spokesperson of martial law implementation in Eastern Mindanao, identified the arrested bomber as Mohammad Noaim Maute alias Abu Jadid.
Maute is believed to be the youngest brother of Omarkhayam and Abdullah Maute; leaders of the Maute terror group.
The young Maute, believed to be an Arabic teacher by profession, was found using a fake school ID under the name Alfaiz P. Mamintal. He admitted that he is the person in the local terrorist gallery named Abu Jadid.
“Subject is a suspected bomber of the Maute terrorist Group. The subject personality is currently undergoing investigation at CDOC PNP,” Gabay said.
