The San Miguel Beermen squad is back in the Finals after they defeated Star Hotshots 109-102, in Game 4 of the PBA semi finals.

Alex Cabagnot led the Beermen with team-high 26 points, while Chriss Ross, Junemar Fajardo and Charles Rhodes chip in 24, 22 and 21 points, respectively.

With the win against Hotshots, the Beermen ended their drought for The Commissioners Finals appearance since 2001.

“What more can I ask for? I’m very happy for the players,” said San Miguel head coach Leo Austria.

“In our 4 games, very close, makikita mo naman eh (you’ll see it),” said head coach Leo Austria after the game. “They will force you to bring the best in you.”

The San Miguel Beermen seems to be in cruise control of the tempo by leading 93-76 in the fourth quarter until the Hot Shots stringed in a run of their own to pull within striking distance 101-98 via Paul Lee triple with 1:28 left to play.

Unfortunately for the Hotshots, Beermen showed their composure and held on.

Ricardo Ratliffe again topscored for the Star with another double-double of 36 points and 17 rebounds.

The San Miguel Beermen await the winner of the semifinal matchup between TNT KaTropa and Barangay Ginebra.
