Start saving! ‘Chainsmokers’ to return to Manila for a concert in September at the MOA

The American DJ/production duo ‘Chainsmokers’ are returning to the Philippines for a one-night concert in September.

The good news was announced by promoter MMI Live through an Instagram post on Monday.

Pricing was not immediately available, but tickets for the Globe-sponsored September 13 show at the Mall of Asia Arena will go on public sale starting June 28.

The EDM (Electronic Dance Music) pop duo is best known for their huge hits including “Closer,” “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Roses”, among others.

They also had a recent collaboration with Coldplay titled “Something Just Like This” which the British rock band performed when they held their first-ever show in the Philippines in April 2017.

The Chainsmokers last performed in the country in August 2016. The first time they had a concert in the Philippines was in June 2014.

The duo composed of Andrew Taggart from Maine and New Yorker Alex Pall have won an American Music Award and five iHeartRadio Music Awards.

The duo’s second EP Collage was released in November 2016, succeeded by the release of their debut studio album, Memories…Do Not Open, in April 2017
