Isabela Vinzon, the daughter of action star and film director, Roi Vinzon, sashayed her way to the finals of The Voice Teens Philippines. Despite receiving mixed reviews from online bashers, Vinzon gave her all in the semifinals episode of the show last Sunday, July 23rd; earning her a deserving spot in the Top 4.

She garnered a total score of 96.5% from combined viewers and judge’s votes after her rendition of “You and I” by Lady Gaga. According to her, she dedicates the song to her father.

Watch her performance below:

Her coach, Bamboo, said: “That was the Lala Show. You owned that moment, you owned this stage tonight.”

Equally-deserving, Emarjhun de Guzman only got 77.46% of the total combined votes from the audience and the judges after he performed Mariah Carey’s “Butterfly”. While a lot of fans were disappointed that Emarjhun was eliminated, many were glad that Isabela made it to the finals.

In Team Sharon, Jeremy Glinoga will be joining Isabella Vinzon in the finals, after beating Christy Lagapa.

Glinoga got a total of 99% while Lagapa scored only 90.59% from the combined votes of the viewers and Coach Sharon Cuneta. The Filipino-American teen performed “Sign of the Times” by Harry Styles.

Here is his winning performance in the semifinals.

Looking to be Sharon Cuneta’s first-ever winner in The Voice and the first-ever The Voice Teens Philippines winner, Glinoga came all the way from the US, along with his family who are avid Sharonians. So, it was fitting when Cuneta turned her chair for him.

Cuneta told Glinoga: ““You owned that stage tonight. I am so proud of you. Puro ballads ang ginagawa mo for us. When you said that you were gonna do this, sabi ko medyo this has kind of a stronger beat, a higher energy and I said it’s a big stage. I was a little scared but you owned the stage tonight. You gave me everything I asked for. I am so proud of you. From the bottom of my heart, I believe you belong up there.”

On the other hand, Christy Lagapa sang “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” by Madonna; the soundtrack from Evita. She was praised by Sharon Cuneta for delivering a great performance despite being sick.

Glinoga will be competing against Isabela Vinzon from Team Bamboo; Jona Soquite from Team Sarah; and Mica Becerro from Team Lea.

Next week, the Top 4 finalists, namely, Jeremy Glinoga, Jona Soquite, Mica Becerro and Isabela Vinzon, will fight it out to become the first-ever The Voice Teens Philippines winner.
