MANILA, Philippines – Not all superheroes wear capes. Sometimes they wear logos of a big, fat, happy bee.
In her Facebook account, Shishi Cruz De Leon recounted how one delivery guy of Jollibee up and went beyond his call of duty by delivering not only the food she ordered but also medicine for her sick baby.
According to De Leon, she had been unable to go out of their house to buy medicine for her child because no one was else for available to watch over. Then, remembering a similar story where a Jollibee delivery guy delivered the medicine to a customer, she also decided to give it a try by including a request for Paracetamol in her online order.
While she did not seem initially hopeful they would grant her request, De Leon found to her pleasant surprise they actually did after the delivery guy showed up with the food and medicine she ordered.
[I was surprised when someone said “Jollibee po” at the door. I let him enter. He gave me my order and Tempra. I was really crying when I saw it because I did not expect them to fulfill my request.]
De Leon also shared pictures of the delivery guy and thanked him —as well as Jollibbee— for their act of kindness.
[Thank you very much Jollibee for having a rider who doesn’t settle with just delivering orders. He also has a heart. Please commend Sir Aaron. What he did was a big help in assuaging my concern for my child.]
