Four people, including a minor, were arrested in separate buy-bust operations by the authorities on Tuesday.
The police arrested a 17-year-old male in a buy-bust operation that happened at Sitio Kalubihan, District 2, Brgy. Pulpogan, Consolacion, Cebu.
According to “Mark”, (not the minor’s real name) he was selling shabu [methamphetamine] to earn money that he will use for the birthdays of his three siblings. He’s the only male among 6 siblings. Their father have already passed away, and their mother works as a laundry lady.
But according to PO1 Jenny Rusiana, Mark is a ‘street level pusher’ at their barangay [village]. Mark’s aunt, known as ‘Jonah’, is the one who urged him to serve as a runner.
Jonah is reportedly still at large.
Meanwhile, three more people were arrested in the same barangay of Pulpogan and at barangay Casili. Arrested were Dioscoro Tautoan, Isabelo Egam Jr., and Jamine Gia. Tautoan and Egam were the subjects of the operation, while Gia was the runner.
Several packets of shabu were confiscated from the suspects.
Superintendent Mina Domingo said that the shabu being sold by the three came from Cebu and Danao City.
