Dethroned Miss Philippines Earth winner Imelda Schweighart revealed on social media that she gave birth and is embracing her new life as a mother.
On August 29, Imelda Schweighart surprised her followers on Instagram after she announced that she was pregnant and have already given birth to his now one-month-old son, Sun Noach, last July.
According to her, she wanted to spare her son from bashers: “Itinago ko [ang] pagbubuntis ko para ‘di ka mapagkaisahan ng mga taong walang awa.” [I kept you a secret because I wanted to protect you from people who savor bashing others without pity.]
She added that she is very proud of having him that she can’t bear keeping him a secret anymore. “Kung pagkaisahan man tayo, pasensya ka na, gagawin ko ang lahat para maipagtanggol ka pagdating ng panahon sa legal na paraan.” [If critics will turn to us, I apologize but I will do my best to protect you in good time, in a legal manner.]

For Schweighart, she believes her son is her biggest achievement in life, so far. According to her, it is probably God’s way of taking away the “suffering.” After that, she told moms to keep their composure and smile despite the adversities and work hard for their children.
Schweighart was one of the most talked about queens last year for bashing Miss Earth 2016 Katherine Espin in a video that went viral and likening Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. She was unplaced in the pageant and was the first in years not to be included in the Top 4 of the prestigious pageant.
Beauty pageant fans wooed her to join Miss World Philippines 2017, not knowing she was pregnant for months already.
