Encantandia’s Amihan, Kylie Padilla, had one of the most arduous battles she had in her life. She fought to give her baby an all natural, water birth for four days of labor but had to opt for natural labor in the end. Kylie Padilla and fiancé, Aljur Abrenica, welcomed the birth of the adorable, Alas Joaquin Abrenica.
A week after the world had a glimpse of Alas, Kylie’s manager and dear friend, Ghee Castro shared on Instagram snippets of Kylie’s water birth.
She captioned it: “I am overwhelmed to be sharing one of the most amazing experience of my life by far.” She added: “I’ve known and seen Kylie as a physically strong person; it was the first time I saw her so weak, shaking, in so much pain throughout her four days of labor.”

Kylie wanted to go through an all natural water birth at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City with the help of a doula. She was on labor for four days but her cervix stopped dilating at 8cm, she was so weak already and decided to go with normal delivery instead.
It was truly a touching scene when we get a glimpse of Kylie’s father, Robin Padilla, touching her tummy, comforting her during her labor. Aljur was also seen seemingly distraught and worried for Kylie and their baby’s condition.
After the hard pains of labor, Ghee shared that “is true, that once the mother has finally seen her child, all the pain goes away, at least for few precious minutes.” Kylie was reportedly even able to cut the umbilical cord and was already up and walking just a few hours after giving birth. Congratulations to the couple!
