Actress Lotlot de Leon and her biological mother Eva Rodriguez got reunited after almost three decades.

On Instagram, De Leon posted a photo of her with her biological mother.

“Thank you, Mama Eva,” the actress expressed.

“But there’s a story behind everything. How a picture got on a wall. How a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all your stories is always your mother’s story, because hers is where yours begin,” she added; quoting well-known author Mitch Albom.

It’s been 26 years since De Leon and Rodriquez last saw each other. Such was only their second meeting. De Leon first saw her mom in San Diego, California in 1991.

“We had a show, kasama ko si Janine, baby pa si Janine,” the actress shared. [We had a show, I was with Janine who was still a baby then.]

The two got reunited in California, USA, last Saturday, August 19, after De Leon accompanied her daughter Janine who went abroad to record the theme song of her upcoming TV project, Sunshine In. Also with them were De Leon’s only son Diego Gutierrez and a talent manager from GMA-7.

“I’m happy to see her,” De Leon expressed. “Happy that she met the kids, ’cause I want the kids to know also their roots…. I wanted her to meet her grandchildren.”

De Leon is the adopted daughter of Superstar Nora Aunor and her ex-husband Christopher de Leon.
