- A man from Florida robbed a bank to begin career as a comedian
- The bank robber made off with $4,700
- The suspect stripped naked and then threw away the stolen money at people he passed by
A man from Florida thought that robbing a bank and then throwing away the stolen money would jumpstart his career as a comedian.
According to CBS Pittsburgh, twenty five-year-old Alexander Sperber told police he woke up one morning last week and decided to rob a bank in order to begin his career as a comedian. Nobody’s laughing at his antics, however. He was arrested for bank robbery.
On July 25, Sperber entered the bank in Fort Lauderdale and made a gun motion with his hand to a bank teller who handed him a bag of cash amounting to S4,700.
Police said after Sperber fled on foot, a red dye pack inside the bag of cash exploded and stained his clothes and a cast on his left wrist. He decided to take off his clothes and run down the street; throwing the stolen money at people he passed by.
Sperber was taken to a hospital after he was arrested by cops. He was found to be coherent and uninjured.
