The designing of the P227-billion Mega Manila Subway System will commence in November when Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe comes to Manila for the ASEAN Summit, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary Ernesto Pernia said.
Pernia called the multi-billion project as the “Project of the Century.’
“The subway I think is going to be the project of the century for the Philippines. Designing of that will be in November when Prime Minister Abe will come for the ASEAN Summit,” he said in a press conference in Quezon City.
As mentioned in a GMA story, the details of the project will be discussed in the next NEDA board meeting early next month.
The feasibility study for the Mega Manila Subway, funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency, has been completed and it will be submitted to the NEDA Board, as per ABS-CBN.
The NEDA Board is chaired by President Rodrigo Duterte.
