It has been almost five years since David Archuleta’s visit to the Philippines. And now, the “American Idol” Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta is returning to the country for a one-night concert.

On Tuesday, David himself made the announcement through a video post uploaded on his official Facebook page.

David said he will be coming to the country in October for a show at the KIA Theater in Quezon City.

He said: “I’ve got an announcement. Manila, October 20th at the KIA Theater, we’re coming to do a show. New music to share with all of you after five or six years of this separation we got. I hope to see you guys there and thank you once again for all your support all these years.”

It was in 2009 when David first held a concert in the Philippines along with “American Idol” winner, another David, David Cook.

In 2012, David Archuleta released an album containing his renditions of OPM hit songs, including Forevermore and Nandito Ako.
